About the Author

Inspired by the rising divorce rate among marriages, author Charles Michael Baril wanted to do something to change the alarming trend. Since 1960, the divorce rate in America has increased 400%. Because the family unit is the core to strong communities and countries, he was determined with God’s help to bring healing and hope to marriages. He believes his first book The Wedding Present can be part of the solution.

Charles was born in Warren, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. Besides being an author and script writer, he is a professional singer/songwriter. He owns his own talent booking agency and has been an Elvis Tribute Artist since 2002. A graduate of Harding University, he and his wife of 20 years, Buffie, live in Nashville, Tennessee with their three children - Brittany, Brandon and Baron.
